Hi Pamela, I don't know what the air temperature was because at 12,000 feet it is hard to tell. It was perfect from my point of view. A cool breeze was blowing and I was able to lay down and take a twenty minute power nap without putting on a jacket. Today I am in Glenwood Springs and am getting ready to hike the Maroon Bells wilderness over the next two days.
