Today I left Telluride and headed towards my next destination which is Aspen. I am really looking forward to spending a couple of days in Aspen and hiking one of the great hiking trails in North America, the trail to the Maroon Bells Wilderness. I get up tomorrow morning bright and early and get on the bus to the trailhead. Apparently this hike is so popular you have to catch a bus to get there!
On my way to Aspen I stopped for a an hour and a half at Black Canyon National Park. The canyon is not nearly as expansive as the Grand Canyon but the "black" steep canyon walls are impressive. I would have enjoyed the opportunity to hike to the bottom of the canyon but not today because I needed to get to my destination.
